Team Finland is Mapping the Internationalisation Needs and Target Markets of Design Sector Companies

Team Finland is a network of public actors providing internationalisation services for companies. It aims to offer a seamless service path ranging from advisory services to financing. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs coordinates the network’s international activities, while Finnish diplomatic missions support companies with market intelligence, contacts, and the identification of local opportunities in different countries.

Globally, Team Finland is represented by more than 80 local teams. These bring together Finnish authorities, publicly funded organisations, and other key Finland-related actors operating in each region. Design Forum Finland represents the design sector within the Team Finland network’s Industry Team for High Value-Added Services, Consumer Business & Creative Industries.

We are looking for companies ready to internationalise!
Design Forum Finland has been tasked with mapping the international offering of Finnish design companies, assessing their export readiness (including design agencies, design-driven companies, and design brands), and developing an informed view of potential target markets for future activities.

We are now seeking companies with strong ambition, genuine interest, and concrete readiness to commercialise design and creative industry products and services in international markets.

Selected companies will form a sector-specific Finnish offering, which will be presented to target markets through the Team Finland network. Companies may be grouped either by sector (for example, design agencies) or around themes associated with Finland (such as sauna culture), as well as broader phenomena of interest to international audiences.

The objective of the Industry Team is to build direct and effective connections between Finnish offerings and international buyers, and to accelerate exports through tangible partnerships. Cultural promotion or country branding communication is not part of the team’s mandate.
