Leandro Erlich

8.10.2025–6.4.2026

Amos Rex, Helsinki

Argentinian contemporary artist Leandro Erlich arrives in Finland – and the Nordic countries – for the first time with his solo exhibition at Amos Rex.
Erlich’s large-scale, immersive installations challenge the viewer’s senses and perception of reality. Familiar everyday spaces – like an elevator or a classroom – begin to behave in unexpected ways: gravity disappears, walls tilt, and perspective is distorted. In this exhibition, the visitor is not just a spectator, but an active participant in the artwork.

The journey begins with the dreamlike Cloud (Pilvi) piece and continues through Sidewalk, The Lost Garden, and Elevator Maze, leading to Erlich’s iconic installation The Building – a surreal Jugend-style urban façade where visitors appear to float weightlessly in mid-air.

The exhibition invites play, wonder, and fresh perspectives – reminding us that sometimes reality can be stranger than fiction.
