Hanna-Riikka Heikkilä’s paintings are built around a dialogue between colour and line, where expressive brushwork meets a graphic visual language. Her works are characterised by a spontaneous naivety and subtle humour, beneath which lies a strong emotional charge and narrative tension. Pastel tones are disrupted by dark contrasts, while abstracted forms invite the viewer to look at the familiar from a new perspective.
