Antrei Hartikainen (b. 1991) is an artist from Outokumpu, based in Fiskars, Finland, known for his sculptural works in wood and glass. His functional objects and art pieces highlight the value of craftsmanship and deep material understanding. Hartikainen’s sculptural works challenge the boundaries between design and fine art, reflecting his interest in the tension between nature and the built environment.
The works in his exhibition Syy return to the observation of nature, the human relationship with the environment, and the intrinsic qualities of materials. They explore growth, transformation, and resilience as expressed through renewal. The exhibition invites the viewer to reconnect with their surroundings.
