The summer exhibition at the Aalto2 Museum Centre’s Gallery presents 13 stories about Alvar Aalto’s approach to design and his human-centred thinking.
What does Alvar Aalto’s architecture look like through a child’s eyes? What does a building sound like? And how can a hospital environment foster a sense of community? 13 Stories of Human-Centred Design explores Aalto’s buildings through the experiences of their users.
Writer Sanna Puutonen has created thirteen fictional stories inspired by Aalto’s buildings, examining architecture through the perspectives of people, the senses and everyday life. By bringing architecture and literature together, the exhibition offers a new way of experiencing Aalto’s design.
