Generation 2026

13.5.–6.9.

Amos Rex, Helsinki

The Generation triennial, held for the fourth time, brings together 50 young artists and collectives to explore some of the most pressing societal issues of our time through art. The group exhibition of emerging artists is one of the key long-term initiatives by Amos Rex and the museum’s owner, the Amos Anderson Art Foundation, to support and showcase a new generation of creative voices.

The works featured in Generation 2026 examine themes including identity, belonging, and power structures. By amplifying minority perspectives, exploring the impact of technology, and using humour and absurdity as tools of resistance and commentary, the exhibition reflects a generation that approaches the world critically, openly, and on its own terms.
