FENNIA PRIZE - Good design grows global
Fennia Prize - Good Design Grows Global is an international design competition for firms and companies. Its objective is to support the production of high-standard products and services and to promote the competitiveness and internationalization of industry.
The Fennia Prize is an opportunity to stand out from competitors with the aid of innovative and responsible design that is also of economic significance. This international competition is arranged by Design Forum Finland and the Fennia Group. Design Forum Finland is a design promotion organization and responsible for the practical organization of the competition and the prize exhibition. The prize sum of €35,000 is donated by the Fennia Group.
The individual Fennia Prizes are awarded to companies in recognition of the comprehensive and innovative use of design for creating and realizing products, services and business concepts, and in product development, manufacturing and corporate image matters.
The Fennia Prize jury represents the design, business and media communities. The entries are evaluated on the basis of usability, responsibility and business aspects. The core values of design, such as aesthetic properties, suitability to the visual environment and the communication of desired values are prerequisites for success in the competition.
The prize-winning entries will be presented internationally in a touring exhibition and a competition publication, along with the competition webpages. The competition will also include a seminar on design with leading Finnish and international experts as speakers.
The prize was known as Pro Finnish Design Prize until 2003.
