Award-Winning Design on Display

A wide range of design awarded lately by Design Forum Finland will be on display throughout the coming autumn.

Work by Hannu Kähönen, winner of the Kaj Franck Design Prize of 2009 was on show in the Ahead! area of the Habitare Furniture, Interior Decoration and Design Fair in Helsinki from September 1 to 5.

The Fennia Prize 2009 exhibition will be in Tokyo in connection with the HIRAMEKI DESIGN x FINLAND export event from 29 October to 7th November. More from here.

The results of the next Fennia Prize Competition will be announced in February 2012 at the beginning of Helsinki's World Design Capital year. The submission period for the competition will begin on 2 May, 2011 and will continue until 30 October, 2011. Further instructions will be posted on our webpages at a later date.

The Young Designer of the Year 2010 prize went to two groups of designers, Aivan! and Imu. The prize exhibition at Design Forum Finland in Helsinki was open until mid-August. Work by Aivan! can be seen at an exhibition organized by the PROTO Association of Industrial Designers of North Finland in Oulu. The venue is Galleria 5 at the address Hallituskatu 5, Oulu (Wed. – Fri. Noon to 6 pm; Sat. – Sun. Noon to 4 pm). The exhibition will be open from the 8th to the 26th of September, 2010.

New Autumn Products at Design Forum Shop

Design Forum Shop's new autumn collections are now on sale, including Automatic Starline AW10-11 from Dead Birds & Lionheart by Maria Jokela and Anni Niemi.
